Nike sneakers, dryer, clothes… In Cars, lost packages sold by the kilo

VSThis morning, we bought three pairs of Nike sneakers, a Dyson dryer, a watch, clothes… All this for 148 euros. In stores, just one pair of sneakers costs 130 euros. » Kévin was accompanied by his mother yesterday afternoon in the Sepultura neighborhood, in Carros. For them, the fishing has been good. They weren’t the only ones to be seduced by the concept “surprise bags”, organized by the company Destock Colis, specialized in the repurchase and resale of orders. The beginning? Buy by the kilo, packages that could never have been delivered, without knowing what they contain. That “ephemeral sale” will be held until Saturday.

14 euros per kilo

“These are mainly packages that were not delivered because they did not have the correct address and were never claimed by the recipient”, details Jérémy Martinez. He founded the company Destock Colis in August, following the Agec law, enacted in 2022 and which prohibits the destruction of new non-food items.

He describes his activity: “We buy by the ton and sell for 14 euros per kilo. The warehouse is based in Sauvian (Hérault)but we organize ephemeral sales throughout France.”

For Cars, he brought seven tons of packages. “And we have already sold 1.5 tons.”

Visitors have the right to touch and weigh unfamiliar products. But obviously: no opening packages.

Kévin and his mother Florence found out about the event on social media. Having already arrived in the morning, they returned in the afternoon to hunt for pairs of sneakers. “By feeling we can guess if they are shoes, when they are not in the box. We can also measure if they are the right size”book Florence, seduced by this very playful concept.

“I already have 800 euros worth of goods”

Some people were lucky. This is the case of Cyril, who carefully chose his packages. “I targeted carriers like DHL or UPS, which often ship valuable products. And I tend to take small, fairly dense packages because I’m looking for electronics.” Bingo: “I bought a drone, a telescopic photographer’s stand, a pair of New Balance… I haven’t unpacked my bags yet and I already have more than 800 euros worth of merchandise, despite having paid all of those 140 euros.” Even though he doesn’t necessarily have a use for them, Cyril knows what to do with his discoveries: “I will resell them at Le Bon Coin or Market Place.”

If he knew this concept “on the Internet”he was seduced next “palpable” from the Destock package. And he still hopes to be able to return: “I saved some packages to let my girlfriend open. Maybe she will like it! (Laughter).”
